"Changes to Policy on Research Involving Recombinant DNA Molecules"
CMU has recently implemented a new policy governing research involving recombinant DNA molecules, which may be found online by clicking here.  Any member of the CMU community who is conducting, or proposes to conduct, rDNA research must first have a registration document approved by the CMU Institutional Biosafety Committee.  Researchers are advised to contact the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ext. 6777; email ORSP@cmich.edu ) or Institutional Biosafety Committee Chair Dr. Gregory Colores (ext. 3412; email color1gm@cmich.edu ) for answers to any questions regarding compliance with this new policy. 

"New Copyright Information on the Web"
The CMU copyright committee has created a new Web page with information on fair use of copyrighted materials for education as well as instructions on where to find copyright assistance at CMU.  Click here for the new Fair Use Web site. "New Laboratory Handbook Released"
ORSP has just developed a handbook to help guide researchers in the proper documentation of laboratory activities.  This handbook may be found by clicking here.

"New IACUC Project Review Form Released"
Effective immediately, all applications for approval to use vertebrate animals for research or demonstration purposes must be completed using the newly revised IACUC Project Review Form available here.  Old versions of the IACUC Project Review Form will not be accepted by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee.  Questions regarding the review form and application process should be directed to ORSP (ext. 6777; email orsp@cmich.edu)
