"New Copyright Information on the Web"

The CMU copyright committee has created a new Web page with information on fair use of copyrighted materials for education as well as instructions on where to find copyright assistance at CMU.  The new Fair Use Web 
site is at http://www.cmich.edu/copyright/assistance/default.htm. For more information, please contact Anne Marie Casey, Associate Dean of Libraries.


"New Laboratory Handbook Released"

ORSP has just developed a handbook to help guide researchers in the proper documentation of laboratory activities.  This handbook may be found at http://www.orsp.cmich.edu/pdf/handbookpermIA.pdf


"New IACUC Project Review Form Released"

Effective immediately, all applications for approval to use vertebrate animals for research or demonstration purposes must be completed using the newly revised IACUC Project Review Form available at http://www.orsp.cmich.edu/Policies.htm#Institutional.  Old versions of the IACUC Project Review Form will not be accepted by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee.  Questions regarding the review form and application process should be directed to Audrey Brown (ext. 2469; email audrey.l.brown@cmich.edu) or Craig Reynolds (ext. 3859; email craig.reynolds@cmich.edu)

CMU NSF PROGRAM ATTRACTS STUDENTS FROM ACROSS NATION

Six students from across the United States, including a Central Michigan University student, were selected for a six-week summer research experience to study glaciers in Alaska. 


CMU NSF NANOTECHNOLOGY GRANT INNOVATES CHEMISTRY LABS, AIDS LOCAL SCHOOLS

Sparking student interest in the emerging field of nanotechnology is the goal of a $100,000 National Science Foundation grant to Central Michigan University. 


FEDERAL GRANT TO CMU BOOSTS INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION, EXPORT BUSINESSES

A federal grant will boost international business education initiatives for students at Central Michigan University and help export-related businesses in the mid-Michigan region.
